Supporting a growing program requires more than technical expertise. It takes leadership that understands the realities of cybersecurity, the challenges organizations face on the path to authorization, and the importance of building trust across the community. As part of our role operating the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Program Management Office (PMO) under contract with GovRAMP, RAMPQuest is committed to continually strengthening the experience it provides to organizations participating in the GovRAMP Security Program. That's why we're excited to welcome Josh Trautmann as PMO Director.
Josh brings more than 20 years of military leadership and cybersecurity experience to the role. During his service in the U.S. Army, including leadership positions in cyber operations, he developed a mission-focused approach grounded in accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution. He later expanded that experience in the private sector, leading enterprise cybersecurity initiatives spanning security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, threat detection, AI security, and broader program improvement efforts.
Throughout his career, Josh has worked with organizations operating in highly regulated environments where security, trust, and consistency are essential. Those experiences have shaped his approach to leadership: building strong relationships, communicating clearly, and making complex processes easier to understand. Whether improving security programs or guiding organizations through challenging requirements, his focus has always been on helping teams move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
As PMO Director, Josh will lead RAMPQuest's delivery of PMO services in support of GovRAMP, helping ensure organizations have a clear, consistent experience throughout the GovRAMP verification process.
